Mario Bellini

Born in 1935 in Milan, where he lives and works, Mario Bellini studied architecture and is regarded as one of the most important exponents of contemporary Italian design. In addition to his work as an architect, Mario Bellini has also designed electrical equipment, computers, furniture for home and office, thermos flasks, radios, lighting, motor homes and much more. In the field of porcelain and glass, he has been working exclusively for Rosenthal since 1984. Mario Bellini has won almost every design prize going. His designs are more than merely formal events – they convey a sense of being alive.
