Jasper Morrison

Born in 1959 in London, where he lives and works, Jasper Morrison first came to attention at the end of the 1980s with his “Exclamation Marks of Simplicity” and went on to become an important exponent of modern design. The term „minimalism” applies to Jasper Morrison perhaps more than to any other contemporary designer. All his creations are characterised by a deliberate simplicity and a reduction to the essentials. His products are designed to be trustworthy and usable.
A unique feature of Jasper Morrison’s approach is that his products are not meant to be overpowering or original. The designer favours unobtrusive elegance, convincing functionality and pared-down refinement.
