Thomas Bastide

The Frenchman Thomas Bastide (*1954) comes from an artistic family. He developed an interest in shapes and volume at an early age. He studied art and design at the National College of Graphic Arts and later industrial design at the School of Applied Arts and Crafts (ENSAAMA) in Paris. As the leading designer for Baccarat, he created unmistakable pieces from 1981. In his workshop with its own kiln, he also creates sculptures made from glass, concrete and metal.
