This new unusual collection for the Rosenthal studio-line reflects the original Ming Dynasty vases, frozen in a digital time loop. A mixture of collective memories and futusistic abstraction, it symbolizes the cultural changes that have been triggered by digital technology. The speed of information processing, the rate at which it becomes obsolete and the way it breaks with convention. This is expressed by the metaphorical decorationd on the vase, while sculputured by highly techinical tools, the vase also summarises 500 years of human manufacturing.
