Blockglas

The Block-Glas won the Design Award Design Plus 2005 at the Frankfurt show and is both beautiful in form and innovative.

The ultra-modern vases are brought into shape using a complex sanding and engraving process. Like sculptures the blocks are cut, sanded and polished until each culminates in a completed object.
The silky smooth, soft, organic inner shapes are coveted by crystal clear, hard, geometric shapes. This interplay between contrasting forms lends the vases their convincing appearance, turning them into small design objects.

Block-Glas is an unusual gift article collection ranging from different sized vases to various bowls, a clock, a votive and a candle stick.
